Oblong large 8 vo, original covers. GOOD TO VERY GOOD. Soiled front cover of year 1932 album , small brown spot on back cover ca.10 sq.mm), parts of spine carefully repaired. Small tear on front cover of year 1932 album, not effecting picture or text. Slight tear (ca. 10 mm) on back cover for year 1934 album.

Ivar Starkenberg is regarded as 'one of Sweden's wittiest and most Incisive political cartoonists' (The American-Scandinavian Review). He is considered to be 'the grand old man of Swedish social artistry movement'. His drawings appeared regularly in Morgon-Tidningen and in number of chief Labor periodicals. 'For a generation he has been fighting with his pencil for the democratic labor movement. He got his start in a small comic paper with a strong pacifists and anti-religious tendency.' 'Rotbom' was series published in a newspaper 'Konsumentbladet' and later publihsed in album format. Album for year 1933 is very rare.
