Pictorial covers of the period are not usual for Russian émigré publications printed even in Germany.Ivan Khvostov was a certified lawyer, turned to become a prolific Russian émigré writerer. His novel 'Pered grozoi' became a bestseller, and was sold out shortly after publication.Most of his stories were printed and reissued in émigré magazines and journals of the period. He still had his readership in early 1960s. Probably the only Russian émigré writer who has burial place at Addis Ababa Military Cemetery. |
